About this Nominee
I began Helping Hands OV as a 100% volunteer nonprofit that has become a movement back in the very end of 2019 with something simple—a tired single mom, an overgrown lawn, and one kind neighbor who stepped in to mow it. That small act of kindness sparked a bigger idea: if one simple gesture could bring so much hope, what if neighbors checked on each other more often? I am so grateful for our community and have passion to make it an even better place, one neighbor, one kind act, one helping hand at a time.
